The SAILOR 1000 XTR Ku antenna is pure innovation and forms the first of a new generation of antennas in Cobham’s new SAILOR XTR Platform. This is a full ground-up redevelopment of the tried, trusted and proven SAILOR 900/800/600 series. The result is a step-change in efficiency and reliability, with new capabilities to maximise performance and optimise customer service, resulting in industry-leading uptime on Ka- and Ku-band satellite networks in any orbit.
The new Sailor 1000 XTR Ku antenna will provide you with overall improved serviceability, this will allow you to reduce costs and increase efficiency. There are fewer antenna modules and more generic service parts to support easier issue diagnosis and quicker repairs and fewer spare parts needed, to keep the VSAT online for a reduced overall cost vs. existing technology.
The new benefits are further illustrated through the pioneering features below:
NEW pedestal design – for 80/100/120cm apertures enables maximum flexibility; easy to convert between bands and constellations
NEW Antenna Control Module – located inside the Above Deck Unit, with super-fast processor and new modular star network component topology empowers deep self-diagnostics capabilities and extended, highly secure remote access which contributes to optimisation of antenna operation and management
NEW Modular star network topology – Antenna Control Module is connected directly to each module (rather than daisy-chained) to aid:
NEW Powerful stepper motors – for all axis and antenna sizes; Same motors for all three axes:
The SAILOR 1000 XTR Ku retains the best-in-class performance of the SAILOR 900 VSAT Ku and is available now to order from AST.
