In this dual role, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that both our logistics and warehouse functions run seamlessly. You will be responsible for providing accurate freight quotations, preparing export paperwork, and managing the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse—from receipt to shipment.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Logistics Coordination
  • Provide accurate freight quotes for both inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely deliveries.
  • Arrange collections to and from AST Networks UK warehouses, ensuring smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare and complete shipment documentation for export across all AST Networks departments.
  • Review and verify freight invoices for accuracy before approval and payment.
  • Promptly resolve any queried freight invoices to avoid delays.

Warehouse Management

  • Manage warehouse inventory, including the receipt, inspection, and storage of goods.
  • Document any damages or discrepancies with photographic evidence and reports.
  • Ensure goods meet quality standards before labelling and storage.
  • Maintain accurate stock rotation practices to preserve inventory integrity.
  • Handle returns by checking goods against drivers’ paperwork, noting discrepancies, and processing accordingly.
  • Oversee the pick, pack, and shipment of goods via AST Networks' preferred service providers.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding quarantine of goods and maintain import/export documentation.

##Essential Experience / Qualifications / Educational attainments

  • Strong knowledge of Incoterms 2020 rules and experience in creating transportation documentation for international shipments.
  • Confident communicator, both verbally and in writing, at all business levels.
  • High numerical competence with attention to detail in handling quantities, part numbers, and packing instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb with or without reasonable adjustments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Qualification in lithium batteries by air (dangerous goods) or the willingness to complete the qualification.
