AST Networks is proud to announce that Sally Thacker, Software Developer Apprentice has become this year’s winner of the DevelopHER Apprenticeship Award. The Award is designed to celebrate the achievements of women in technology.
“I was so pleased to present Sally with the Apprentice award this year. It's wonderful to see how she has progressed in the company and great that her employer AST Networks is supporting her to build a career in technology' said Vickie Allen, Founder of the DevelopHER awards”.
Born in Lowestoft, Sally, enjoys combining her passions for technology and design to create valuable business tools. She says “It feels amazing to win this award. It’s great that I’m now in a position to decide which areas of development I want to pursue further”.
Since Sally started with AST Networks in 2018 the company has provided her with continuous training which allowed her to progress to a Technical Administrator role. “I got to learn more about how our systems work and took on more responsibility. Luckily I have a passion for learning”, she says. “I’m part of a supportive and open-minded team which allows space for me to come up with creative ideas”.
