This service offers our Enterprise and Government Customers confidence that any Remote Satellite Terminals being used for remote communications as redundancy or back up is tested and working when it is most needed. This service is carried out on an annual basis, at a date, time and place determined by you, the Customer.
AST ASSURANCE will accommodate a yearly fixed fee and be based on the number of handsets and locations in which our Staff must travel to and from to perform the testing and training. This in-turn will provide you greater confidence knowing that in the event of having to use your AST Networks satellite terminals/devices they have been fully tested and were working at time of the testing.
Upon completion of site visit and prior to the AST Networks Officer's departure, a full report from what tests have been carried out, what issues/faults, if any, have been found will be submitted by and delivered to your Network Operations Command Centre, HQ Command Centre, or nominated Responsible Officer/Staff member.
Faulty handsets greater than 4 years of age will not eligible for swap out under the AST Assurance solution, a quote to repair or replace the faulty handset will be provided to the Customer. Satellite Handsets identified as faulty between annual inspections can be swapped out on an advance replacement basis from the Assurance Hot Swap pool.
Handsets that have been damaged due to improper handling may not be covered under the AST Assurance solution. Batteries which normally have a life cycle of 12 – 24 months are also not replaced free of charge, though any battery found faulty will be replaced by AST Networks and charged back to the Customer.
